September Tournament:

We had 18 members and seven guests this month, a very good turn out for the tournament. It's nice not to have to worry about high water and tides for once, don't ya think.
The weather was beautiful and the water had a light stain up river, but cleared on the south end.
It would be nice to have a Lake like that in our back yard. Most of the fish were caught on finesse worms, crank baits and top water baits. The flipping and pitching bite in the grass was not like most of us expected, but still, a lot of fish were caught, mostly spots. Fred Raby won the Boo-Ray pot with a nice largemouth Weighing 5.39 lbs,
he also won the tournament with 10 fish weighing 19.52 lbs. Great job Fred. Rich Cornelius placed 2nd with 13 fish weighing 18.92 lbs and John Kasic took third with 13 fish weighing 18.68 lbs.
Brian Knoll, a guest of Billy Blackwell, won big fish on day one with 4.60 lbs. Good job Brian.
