OLD BUSINESS:

The E-Board held a meeting on April 22nd to discuss matters that needed to be clarified. First, in the Constitution and By-laws, under Article 2, sect 5, #5 (Removal from Membership), it states members must make at least one tournament and one meeting per quarter to remain in good standings. In order to prevent losing members because of their work hours, etc, the E-Board voted 100% unanimous in accordance with the Constitution to change the rule to read as follows: A member must fish at least one tournament a quarter and attend one meeting a quarter to remain a member in good standings, the E-Board has the discretion to grant exceptions to this rule based on circumstances. This rule and the following topics were brought before the club at the May meeting and were voted on 100% unanimously.
#9 in the Tournament rules states "a seven fish limit is allowed to each fisherman per day unless state or local laws restrict limits to less, so as a reminder, only a maximum of seven fish will be allowed in your livewell prior to
weigh-in, unless state or local laws limit it to less. Please adhere to the "Honor" system.
Also, if you have a guest or another club member fishing with you, please provide he or she with a weigh-in bag of their own, do not combine each others fish in one bag even though they may be marked.
"Safety", everyone should always wear their life jackets zipped and buckled up with their "kill switch" in tact.
You never know what could happen, so be safe, it could happen to you.
"Sharing fishing information", we all can help each other during tournaments with things like, the type of pattern, wood, grass, rocks etc, water depth, and whether or not it's a hard bait or soft plastics,
it should be up to you from there.
No one should have to tell their every last detail on how they catch their fish, some might, and some won't.
The assistant tournament director will be checking members at the weigh-in for club hats and shirts.
If you want credit for them, have them on at the time of weigh-in.
Members who would like to hold an office on the E-Board should give it some thought, everyone should try it some time or another. Frank Bost won this month's 50/50 draw, congratulations Frank.
"Reminder" - All room reservations for the out of town tournaments have been taken care of, contact Frank Kelly if you have any questions.

NEW BUSINESS:

The "Wally Cassiano" memorial tournament will be held on Saturday, May 15th on the Escambia River, out of "Blue Gill landing", formerly known as (Smith's). Lets all go fishing in remembrance of Wally.
No other business was discussed.

May Tournament:

The May tournament was held out of Ellis Landing at Millers Ferry, 13 boats and 16 members were ready to take on the fish at safe daylight. The river was for the most part muddy with no current most of the day, all the boat traffic from other tournament even made it worse. The bite was tough to say the least, no limits were caught and only three people had 5 fish.
Spinner baits, Carolina rigs, worms and a few crank baits caught fish, they sure bit the day before though cuz. A couple of the guys had caught some that weighed 5 plus on Friday, but that's usually what happens. Wayne Thomley was fortunate enough to get the better bites, he took the top spot with 5 fish weighing in at 9.58 lbs. Billy Blackwell took second with 5 at 8.85 lbs, and Chris Malena took third with 3 fish weighing in at 7.54 lbs, he also had the big fish of the day that weighed 3.97 lbs.
Great job guys.
This was the last tournament for a good friend and one of our members, Steve Graham. Steve is being relocated due to his job but hopefully he will be back with us soon.
Steve finished the tournament in 4th place, .01oz out of the money. Good luck to you Steve.
