OLD BUSINESS:

The "Wally Cassiano" Memorial tournament is in the planning stages, times and dates are TBD, but it's looking like it could be held around the end of May, plus or minus a couple of weeks. The objective is to try and get the most participation as possible from all the people who knew Wally over the years through Bass Clubs around the local area. More info will be available on the tournament in the next few weeks.
The April Meeting of the Panhandle Bass Club originally scheduled for the 7th, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 31st, due to Easter weekend.
The tournament will be the weekend of April 3rd and 4th out of Wind Creek State Park at Lake Martin.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Panhandle Bass Club would like to welcome aboard their newest member, John Lightsey. Good luck and tight lines John. There were no item's to be auctioned off at this months meeting, although we did have the 50/50 draw. Pete Potter was the lucky individual this time around.
Just a reminder, make sure your equipment is in good working order for the upcoming Lake Martin tournament,
so be sure and grease those wheel bearings, do a trailer light check,
Fishing license etc, etc. It could save you a lot of heartache.

March Tournament:

The March tournament was held on Lake Seminole out of Seminole Lodge, 18 members were ready to go at first light on Saturday. The weather was nice and warm for once but some had to deal with that Seminole wind. A storm came through around midday with very strong gusty winds and heavy showers but dissipated quickly,
no lightning thank goodness.
At weigh in time, there were 47 fish brought to the scales, only 4 of the guys had a limit. Steve Graham was leading the pack after day one with 5 fish weighing in at 13.29 lbs. Wayne Cox also had a nice limit weighing in at 12.69 for a close second, and Cliff Armstrong had 4 fish witch weighed in at 11.43 lbs. Wayne Thomley had one fish for the day but it was a dandy, getting him Big Fish honors for day one, it topped the scales at 6.58 lbs,
caught on a zoom fluke.
Day two was a little nicer weather wise, no storms but a little chilly with some fog. Some were counting on having a top water bite but it didn't pan out like everyone hoped, although jerk baits, spinner baits, flukes and rattle traps still worked for most. At weigh in time, only 34 fish were bagged, Steve once again had a limit weighing 11 lbs
Even, nice job Steve. Steve took first place for the 2-day tournament with 10 fish totaling 24.29 lbs.
Walter McCartney had Big Fish on day 2, tipping the scales at 6.12 lbs with a total of 10.00 even on day two.
Good enough for second. Cliff Armstrong had 3 very nice fish that took the third position on day 2 weighing in at 9.11 lbs. Overall, the top 3 were Steve Graham in 1st, Cliff Armstrong taking 2nd and Wayne Cox taking the 3rd spot. Good job guys.
