Message From The President:

As we come to the halfway point in the fishing season I always take a good look at the standings to see how they are shaping up. Who's leading....
who's new in the top six....anyone running away with the points....who's making a charge to move up?
This year no one is really running off from the pack, but Jere is putting on a show. He's on a good run but he can't let up or someone will catch him.
He has certainly been very consistent and that is what it takes to keep the top spot in the standings. Right now it is still anybody game and a little luck can go a long way! The next couple of months could be a pivotal time if someone is going to make a
move toward the top.

Also check out this short clip.
Let safety on the water, not fishing be the only priority on your mind while operating these ultra fast boats we run.

Minutes of the Meeting:

The May meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at 7:00 P.M. May 2015, 2009 at
Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
President John Buck presided.
There were 23 members and 2 prospective members Rickey Nelson, and Jason Weaver present.

Old Business:

The April Meeting minutes were read and accepted. Jere Jaillite also gave a treasurers report. Donnie Lewis was voted in as our newest Hawg Hunter. Welcome to the club Donnie.

New Business:

The Saturday night meal at Lake Martin last month went without a hitch and there was plenty of food left over.
The new bouree pot is being run by
Bill Myrick.

· Mack Cramer and Dave Dyess both gave reports on there fishing trip to Mexico last month. They both said they made it back across the border without that Hawg Cold we been reading about.
Heck!!....I wouldn't want to be smoochin up on either one of them jockers in the first place.

The 50/50 draw was won by Dave Bock.

May Tournament:

For our May tournament the Hawg Hunter's headed to one of the best bodys of water for spring time fishing that we have close enough for a one day tournament. Millers Ferry done us well but our Tournament Director forgot to get with "pay off" the weather people and let them know we were coming.
By 10:00 am Saturday morning they were letting us know BIG TIME they weren't happy with us. As for me I am here to let all my nonboater friends know my automatic bilge pumps work just fine.
At weigh in everybody was changing cloths as the rain suits didn't seem to do the jobs intended after the first hour of a three hour frog strangler.

May Tournament:

If you were man enough and I guess everyone was to stay out in that mess then the fish gods rewarded you for it.
At the weigh in everyone had fish to weigh and a ton of stories to tell.
There were eight limits caught and we did manage to find four tournament winners who didn't wash overboard.
John Buck ran down by the damn to one of his little secret coves
"Blue Canoe" and had a limit before the monsoon set in.

1st Place
John Buck

John brought in 5 nice fish for 13.22 lbs and also caught the lunker of the day for 4.05 lbs.

2nd Place
Buddy Yates

Buddy Yates brought his boat this time and the two CAR SALEAMEN headed off to LaLa Land all by them self. Donnie Lewis kept telling me about a secret spot a friend told him about but at the end of the day ole Internet Buddy was the one to bring home the bacon "Bass" with a fine bag of 5 fish for 11.26 lbs. Don't want to say anything here BUT you big boyz better start keeping an eye on this guy. He's headed fast for the Top 6.

3rd Place
Tony Boyett

Tony Boyett joined us this month and brought in 5 fish for 9.15 lbs that was enough for a solid third place win.

4th Place
Jere Jaillite

Jere Jaillite also ran to the damn and was able to pull out 5 fish for 8.33 lbs. Don't want to say anything here but
Bob said Jere kept loaning him spinnerbaits with dull hooks to catch his fish with. Guess that's why Bob done so POORLY this tournament.
Thanks to the Eagle Eye Vision of
Jim Bailey Dave Bock was able to receive his one point for having a
Hawg Hunter cap at the weight in.
As Jim and Marc Churchwell were fishing the main river ole Jim spotted a teal colored cap washed up on the shoreline. He knew that nobody in there right mind but a Hawg Hunter would own a cap that color and with great precision casted over to the shore and hooked that Hawg. He said after a hard fight Marc was able to net the blue hawg.
Next month we will be fishing a one dayer on the Tensaw River out of Cliff's and also starting our 2pm weight times Make plans to be with us and don't forget to bring plenty of water.
