Section 4. Dues

a. Dues are due and payable at the October meeting for the following year.
Any member that hasn't paid his dues by the November meeting will be removed from membership
and must re-apply and fish a guest tournament.
b. Active Member Dues: $60.00 per year.
c. Inactive Membership: $20.00 per year.
d. Dues are prorated on a quarterly basis for joining members.
e. Dues for Angler of the Year will be paid by the club.
f. Secretary dues will be paid by the club.

Reason
Member dues go into the general treasury. Then at the end of the year after the special function funding line ($400.00 maximum); the allowance for existing and anticipated expenses; and budget allowance ($150.00 maximum) are deducted from the general treasury any remaining moneys will be added to the "Fish-off pot."

The proposed change would serve two functions. First, it would give the club extra moneys to handle expenses through out the year.
As it presently stands, I believe the general treasury to be under funded. If the club has to pay half a single boaters expenses for a few consecutive tournaments the general fund could be depleted. Especially if one of the two day tournaments is included.
Secondly, at year end any remaining moneys would be added to the "Fish-off pot." Thereby, returning the moneys to the membership through increased "Fish-off" pay outs.
