Minutes of the Meeting:

The June Pensacola Hawg Hunters meeting was brought to order at
7 P.M. on June 18, 2008 at
Founaris Brothers Restaurant.
President John Buck presided.
There were 16 members present.

Old Buisness:

John Buck discussed final arrangements for the end of the year banquet. The Cock of the Walk was presented as the location voted and passed.
December 5th was voted on and passed as the primary date with December 6th the secondary date.

New Buisness:

Jim Bailey Sr. reported he was talking with a fellow bass fisherman that had recently been fishing on Lay Lake in Alabama. He was stopped by the Alabama patrol for a routine inspection - his fire extinguisher was not in the "green" band and he received a ticket for $300. Not a bad idea to check do a periodic inventory of all required safety equipment onboard. A reminder - in Alabama you must have a throw cushion with 20 feet of line tied to it. Also, Alabama fishing licenses expire
August 31, 2008.
Kevin mentioned his guest from last month had intended to join but the financial cost was too much. Cost of fishing is going to continue to be an issue.

John Buck discussed taking care of fish in the live wells in the heat. Recommendation to freeze a Gatorade bottle full of water an put it in the live wells to keep the water temperature down. This will keep any chlorine from the ice from getting in the live well.
