The January, 2005 meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at 7:00 p.m. on January 19, 2005 at Fournasis Bros. President Dave Dyess presided. There were 26 members present.

Members Of The Board:

President
Dave Dyess
Vice President/Treasure
Terry Smith

Ken Repine
Tournament Director
Frank Kelly
Asst. Tournament Director

Old Buisness:

The summary of December's minutes were presented as was the treasurer's were presented. An announcement was made that the award's banquet previously scheduled for January 15, 2005 has been re-scheduled for Friday, January 28, 2005 due to Copeland's not being available on the 15th. A show of hand was done so as to have a count on who would be attending. 33 was the count.

New Buisness:

The results of a meeting on January 11, 2005 were discussed. A copy of the beginnings of a "Standard operating procedure" has been started. Copies of the "S.O.P. " were handed out to those in attendance. There was discussion of one in particular revolving around those that pay fees to fish and aren't able to. The original version handed out listed that as soon as fees were paid that person was obligated to pay half of the expenses. After discussion it was determined that would be modified to comply with a vote taken previously. The part injected, again by vote of those present, gave a 24 hour window ( 9PM Thursday followingthe monthly meeting ) for anyone finding they could not fish to first contact the boater to explain why they would be unable to fish. Should arrangements not be made with the said boater, then contact a member of the E-Board. The reason would then be reviewed by the E-board. A decision on compensation would be then rendered. There was no additional items discussed.

January Tournament:

Boat bet winners:
The team of Pete Potter and Jere jaillite.

I guess it wasn't surprising that a team of the 1st and 2nd place winners in the tournament would be impossible to bet in a boat bet. Even speaking as 1 of the 4 who failed to catch even one keeper, it was nice to see Pete at the tournament and to see him come in with the winning string of fish. You still got it, Pete. Congratulations.

John Buck pulled out the big'un of the day with a nice 3.25 lb Escambia hawg.
Congratulations to all. The wind made it difficult, but apparently not too difficult for most to catch fish.
Fish caught; 40 Total weight:54.35lbs.
Last year this time at Tensaw there were 11 limits caught;
12 angler's had total weights of over 4.60lbs.. 74 fish were caught. Total weight was 106.60lbs.
