The club's special fund will be utilized for club functions, (i.e.- cookouts, etc.) not based on individual needs like hotel expenses and such. Any club member affiliated with B.A.S.S. or wishes to become part of the federation needs to contact Brian Metcalf as soon as possible.
If the club decides to have a cookout on one of the scheduled upcoming two- day tournaments, volunteers would be greatly appreciated to help with the task of setting it up and also the clean-up. We will ask for volunteers at the meeting prior to a two-day tournament

New Business:

The new tournament schedule is out. Please remember to make your reservations early for any tournament site that will require you to stay overnight. If you have made reservations and then find out for some reason that you can't make the tournament, please call and cancel your reservation or get with another member that needs a room. The E-Board will meet on the issue of the landing site for the Sep. tournament at Apalachicola. They will try to resolve the issue by the next meeting. November Tournament:

The November tournament was held at the Tensaw River out of Cliff's Landing. Saturday started at safe daylight. Saturday morning was a bit cool with the temperatures hovering in the low to mid 30's. The fog rolled in and stayed for a good while, prolonging some of the banters intentions. After the fog finally lifted, blue bird skies was all that was left. Temperatures rose into the mid 60's by midday and there was a moderate breeze out of the North. The water temperature ranged from 57 - 60 degrees. The field of 21 Hawg Hunters took off, most of wich headed south and a few going north.

Dave Dyess came to the scales with a limit of five fish weighing in at 7.15 lbs. There were only two other limits weighed in, Jere Jaillite and Mack Cramer who finished second and third . Jim Bailey Sr. had the big fish of the day wich weighed 2.60lbs and took fourth place for the tournament.Congratulations guys.

November Tournament:

Most of the fish were caught on worms and a few on spinnerbaits. Congratulations Dave and a great job fishing to eve was some controversy at the weigh-in in wich a protest was filed, the protest was in violation of a courtesy bump. The E-Board discussed the protest at the time and allowed the fish to be measured without the penalty of losing the big fish. This in turn raised questions from several members that no courtesy bumps are allowed at the scales. After further discussion between the member in question and the E-board, said member asked the President and the E-Board to remove his big fish weight from his total weight, wich was a deduction of 2.20lbs.
This reduction changed the said members place in the tournament from 5th place to 9thplace.
The E-Boards decision that was made at the weigh-in, remains the same, however, at the request of the member in question, the change was made to adjust the standings accordingly.

Remember, No Courtesy Bumps At The Scales.
Period!!
