Minutes of the Meeting:

The June 2002 meeting of the Pensacola Hawg Hunters was brought to order at 7:00 p.m. on June 19, 2002. The meeting was held at the Seafood Shanty on Hwy 29 and was presided over by President Wally Cassiano.
There were 25 members present.

Old Business:

The Pensacola Hawghunetrs
annual picnic is still in the works
and Pete or Mack will likely have
more information at our July
meeting.

New Business:

A committee will be formed
at next months meeting for the
selection of officers for the up-
coming year.
Rich Cornelius was officially
voted in as the new club secretary.
A huge thanks and a job well done to Dwayne Mills as our
former secretary.
Those who have held this position know it is no peice of cake, again, a big thanks to Gunny Mills.

June Tournament:

The June tournament was held at the Tensaw River out of the Live Oak Landing. There were 24 Hawg Hunters present to fish at safe daylight. This was the first split- one day tournament the club has had in a long time, the first weigh-in being at 12 noon and the second at 6:30pm. Between 12:30
and 2:30 was a club luncheon that
the entire club enjoyed. Special
thanks to Mack Cramer and especially Macks wife for delivering the food, the menu for the day was fried chicken, baked beans and potoe salad. By the way, keep all fingers clear of the chicken baskets when Hawghunters are present.
It was quite a site, after everyone
had their fill,some people took the opportunity to get a little shut-eye.
After the second half of the day got underway, mother nature moved in and put a serious dampening on the Hawghunters.
Thankfully the lightning was not
real bad and looked to be off in the distance towards the west. The
fishing was tough but a few were
able to coax the bass into biting.

June Tournament:



Congradulations to Neil Springstead , Pete Potter, and Ron Fairbanks on a job well donein the fish catching dept.. Also a nice job goes to Wally McCartney for landing the big fish of the day which weighed in at 3.70 lbs.


This was Wallys first official tournament as a Hawghunter.
