"FISHING WITH FRED"
Covering Tidal Waters And Impoundments
Season Change
A recent trip to the Tensaw Delta brought some exciting catches. With the cooling weather we are seeing some huge shad pods forming back in the creeks and lakes. With these moving shad are bass on the 'feed' before the winter slow down.
It is a great time to toss a spinnerbait or topwater in, under and
around the shad to catch some quality fish.
Good numbers of fish were caught on smaller size baits. The bass ranged from 1 to 4 pounds. Some of the bigger fish were caught in the back end of creeks on jig and crawfish combination.
The weather is great this time of year. Cool in the morning and warming throughout the day so take advantage of it and catch some fish.
Keep your bait in the water!
Fred
