REDNECK TOURNAMENT TRAIL

The Redneck Tournament Trails September Tournament (Sept. 14th) was held out of White City, Fl. Believe it or not, with Tropical Storm Hanna just hitting the area 25 teams came to battle the elements and the Bass. At take-off Mother Nature gave us a break, there were no winds or rain, but throughout the day she made up for it. It didn't matter how good of a rain suit you thought you had, by the end of the day you were WET! For the most part it didn't seem to bother the Bass. There were some good catches brought to the scales that day. The team of Hurley / Hurley from Ft. Walton brought in a limit that weighed 12.10 lbs., with their biggest being 3.96 lbs.
This was good enough for 1st place and Big Bass of the Tournament. It seems as though no matter where we fish, these guys are always toward the top. The team of Grant / Grey were less than a pound behind with their 5 Bass weighing in at 11.22 lbs. Always a local favorite, the team of McLemore / McLemore weighed in 10.38 lbs. and took 3rd place. With 9.94 lbs, Goodwin / Lee took 4th place and last place in the money was the team of Harrison / Filson with 9.68 lbs and with a 3.90 pounder took 2nd lunker also. The next tournament is the last regular season tournament for this year.
As a result of a drawing, the 2002 Redneck Neck Classic Tournament will be Nov. 16th, fishing out of Seminole Lodge at Lake Seminole.
